Worked as planned
We replaced a standard and (ugly) picket railing on my above ground deck with a stainless steel cable and pipe railing system. I drilled .250 inch holes in 1 1/2 inch pipe and ran the SS cable vertically through the holes tightening the cable with turn buckles. I used the shoulder washers to keep the cable from rubbing on the holes I drilled in the pipe. The fit was perfect and the washers add a high end finished look to the railing. Folks keep admiring the railing asked "who installed it" or "where I bought the kit from". Got to love it when a plan comes together and these little washers sure helped.

Perfect solution
I purchased this product to use in electrically isolating a 1/4" screw through a metal jar lid. It is ideal in this type of situation and I highly recommend it for similar applications.

Shoulder Washers, also known as insulator washers and shoulder spacers, insulate and protect screws, wire, and tubing from corrosion.
Nylon 6/6 is a general purpose thermoplastic with outstanding resistance to organic chemicals, acids and alkalis. Nylon wears well against other surfaces; it is readily machinable and may be milled, turned and cut with conventional machine tools. It does exhibit some dimensional swelling in wet applications which should be taken into account with its use. Tensile strength of this material is 12,000 psi (pounds per square inch).
