Seven Years Later, Gadget Is Back...To Save Christmas!
Seven years after the original series ceased its original run, "Inspector Gadget Saves Christmas" was released as a prime-time special in December 1992. Gadget is back (and still voiced by Don Adams), and this time, he has to rescue Santa and his hypnotized elves from his old adversary, Dr. Claw. It's up to Gadget, with some help from his niece Penny and loyal dog Brain, to put a stop to his plot to give Santa a bad name. Most revival series, specials and movies aren't usually up to par, but this one is actually pretty good. Gadget fans will appreciate the similarites between this special and the original series, as opposed to the live-action movie with Matthew Broderick. Pros: *Gadget is still voiced by Don Adams. *Most of the reoccuring gags are still used such as the exploding message, lines such as "Chief, is that you? ...you're where?" Classic 90s Blue Blur
Back in the good old days of pogs and SNICK, we were introduced to the world's fastest blue superhero with an attitude: Sonic the Hedgehog! What fans see of him today is not the way he began, and these comic books are proof of that. Here we see a lighthearted hero and his friends battling off the evil Robotnik with slapstick humor and plenty of fun along the way. The review that I'm writing here covers the first several volumes of Sonic Archives, actually. I was thrilled to see they were being re-released, as the earliest issues I have of Sonic are #6 and #13 (and then onward from the mid-#20s). And by being able to compare these to the originals I have, I can assure you that they're not leaving anything out. (Sure, you don't have the joy of seeing an advertisement for a Jurassic Park Tiger handheld game, but all the stories are being reprinted in full.) Great comics in more durable size book!
I bought this series for my 8 y.o. who is an avid reader. I thought this would give him something fun to read in addition to all the "non-picture" books he reads. It is now a well worn copy he reads over and over again before bed, in the car and on vacation. He loves the jokes and still laughs out loud at the funny little inserts in between the comic stories. I've gotten "regular" thin paper comics for my sons and they fall apart with how much use they receive. This collection book is a nice smaller size for them and it holds up. No tears or falling out pages like the standard comics. What a great idea putting several comics together in a bound book format!

Before I begin, this account I'm using is my Mom's because my other account won't let me make reviews until I buy something (it didn't have a problem with it before...). You can check out my other reviews on Teen Titans GO! 1 and 2 and Ape Escape and Ape Escape on the loose under Steve/Saber. Now, on to the review. I recently came across this about a month ago while surfing the net and being the huge Sonic fan I am I thought I should give it a shot. The comic book contains Sonic the Hedgehog issue numbers 1 through 4, with quite a few storys with filler comics and fun little things between, such as a Robotnick Birthday card ("On this special occasion, I am going to place you in my Robo-Machine, turning you into a mindless robot... And by the way... Happy Birthday!" *Cue him standing over a cake with a huge bite in it*). The storys are, Meet me at the corner of hedgehog and vine, parts 1 and 2, where Robotnick unleashes deadly robotick plants all over...

A Kid's Review
so after i got my 50$ boy scout amazon.com giftcard i entered the code and ordered this. ig to it and it was AWESOME. it includes a bunch of normal issues and then it has a bunch of extra stories. this also marks a very important part of the comic where the comic turns from the lighthearted version of sth to the darkness of sth. the cool thing though is(and this is still true today) they didnt change it all the way. instead they made the storyline a bit darker but kept a lot of the jokes in it too. overall great comics great storyline great everything.i agree with the other guy though. they should've just put both parts of the metal sonic story into one book cause now whenever i want to read the rest of it i have to open sonic select and search for the story. which is slightly annoying but rewarding. buy this book and archives 12 and 13. they are so good you will not believe it.

Great but missing one thing
My six your old son and I both loved this book. The Sonic comics are deeper than you'd expect for a video game comic. Which is not to say they are profound, just that there is a little substance to the fun. The one problem with this collection is that part of the Mecha Sonic story is in a different book. You will need to buy Sonic Select Book 2 to see the whole thing. Also these collections are only about 2/3 the size of a comic book. A little small but still readable. Just don't be surprised when it arrives.

good and glossy, shipping not so great
This book is an excellent collection of the original comics all in a smaller sort of slim graphic novel. If you want to have a nice collection of these in good condition, take notice of the shipping these come in. It looks like they were tossed in a roomy box with 3 other books of this collection with 2 of those "bags of air" used for shipping. One of them ended up underneath the cardboard box's flap! and it had a bent corner after i unwedged it from its hiding place. I was not happy about it, but I didn't think returning the single book would improve the shipping treatment. By the way, I had used Super Saver Shipping, which seemed super sloppy for these collector's items. This "Sonic The Hedgehog Archives Volume 2" has a glossy finish and the 15th anniversary logo in the upper left.

A must have for any Sonic the Hedgehog fanatic!
Have you missed any old Sonic the Hedgehog specials or miniseries? Or want to have an extra copy to read? Then this is the book for you! I have literally hundreds of Sonic the Hedgehog comic books and I don't read my old comics for fear of damaging them, so when the good people at Archie Publications decided to create a collection of Sonic's adventures in small graphic novels, I was most jubliant! The Old Sonic Will Never Get Old!
I am a Sonic the Hedgehog comic collector, and when I saw this book, I knew I had to have it. The comics are printed in color on quality paper, and even include the original cover pages of each included comic issue, something sorely left out in many comic collections of other titles. There's also plenty of Knuckles action, for those fans who are wondering. Even Princess Sally Acorn gets a great story. The quality of the book is great, allowing for a long, happy life. This edition should not be missed by any Sonic (or Knuckles!) fan.

I have a high res nest box camera from Gardenature in here, but as the box is quite big and it is always night-time viewing, I wanted to add some additional IR.
