Manual For Honda CR-V 1997
The manual provided valuable information on troubleshooting points. Eventhough I don't carry out any of the repair works myself, I will relate the possible causes of my car problem to my mechanic, just to ensure he doesn't start repairing other unrelated components. Anyway it will be best if we can have a complete manual for Honda CR-V only, where I believe the troubleshooting list will be more comprehensive.

Gets the job done
This tool works quite well on the Integra GSR DOHC VTEC valve lash jam nuts. It is certainly easier than using a seperate screwdriver and wrench. It is well worth the price.

Does what it should
Used this tool for adjusting the valve lash on my B18c5 Honda motor. The tool is quick and easy to use. Other tools use 2 separate pieces (that could wander apart) and you still need to supply a wrench. This is a one piece solition. A valve adjustment at the shop costs about 100 bucks. It paid for itself many times already.

Adequate -- But Merely That
The devil is in the details and this book simply lacks the details. It's not a bad deal if all you want to do is change brake lining and replace broken bulbs -- but thats about all it's good for.It is not an acceptable reference for heavy duty repair. If you want to overhaul your engine, get the genuine factory service manual from Helms. The mechanical manual alone is expensive, but it contains more useful and accurate information than anything else out there.So if you want to do it right, get the real factory service manual. If all you want to do really light duty stuff like brake pads, oil changes, and removing seats so that you can get a vacuum in there to clean out french fries, this book will work.

Decent item... but be aware of the limitations of these manuals
The Haynes manuals can definitely provide a valuable resource for the shade tree, do it yourself mechanic... as there is a lot of good info on technical specifications and repair techniques... both in terms of specific info for your Acura and general maintenance techniques. Just keep in mind that these books are written based upon a total disassembly of the vehicle, and therefore do not cover all of the gotchas that you will run into if you are simply trying to replace a water pump, etc. because the gotchas would not be there if the entire car was being disassembled. So long as you understand this limitation I think you will appreciate these manuals for what they are and what they can provide.

Decent for refrence
This book is good for general information but lacks details for more troubleshooting problems and also lacks detailed pictures and explanations. Being very experienced on electrical and mechanical repairs on aircrafts this book is much easier to read but I think it does not go into depth into how to properly repair things. For example it does not clearly explain how to adjust spark plugs (I had a mechanic friend explain that for me). Another problem with the book is that they sometimes use longer (and more difficult) steps instead of using logical steps. To remove a fuel filter you have to remove the backseats (for 1997 civic) and disconnect the fuel pump and then run the car until the engine is cut off before you can remove and replace the fuel filter. I found it easier just to bypass the fuse and it took just a fraction of the time to remove the fuel filter. Again, great book for reference but lacks details and it doesn't always use the most logical approach for repair and...
