Cowling Cover
The cover that I just purchased is phenomenal. It fits as if it was custom cut at a dealership and trailers beautifully. The protection that it gives while traveling is superb. The first 4-5 trips I kept a close eye on it assuming the cover would come off considering the speed that I travel. Not once has the cover budged. I would recommend that if anyone has an outboard that they want to protect and cover while traveling or in storage purchase a corresponding cover.

Deluxe Yamaha Outboard Motor Review
I received this cover very quickly and promptly went outside to place the cover on my new Yamaha 150 outboard engine. The cover fit perfertly like a glove! It was easy to place on the motor and looks great. It also is insulated and protects the engine cover from the sun and the rain. I'm very pleased with this product and would recommend it to anyone who has this type of outboard motor. The cover looks very professional.

Easy to install
No instructions included, but if you get a service manual, it's relatively easy to install. The hardest part is putting the lower unit back onto the motor--there are three connections to line up, the drive shaft, the gear linkage, and the water tube.

This manual appears to be well laid out and understandable unlike many other "shop manuals" that give you only enough information to get you into trouble. I would like to be able to report many successful repairs due to this manual, but after I bought it, I have only needed it for one minor carb. repair. The information was most helpful, though. I have been working on engines for 43 years and I appreciate good and reliable manuals like this one.

Appears to be made very well and it fits snuggly as shown. What doesn't show is that it is moderately padded on the inside, not just one thin layer that I thought it would be. The Amazon seller had a great price and somewhat quick shipping. This deal was a good savings from most Yamaha dealers and websites.

I've now had this cover on my Yammie for three hot Florida Summers and it is still perfect. Fits very tight and never moves. All the other outboards that were not covered before their owners went north for the summer are all faded....except mine !

Buy Yamaha Outboard Motors

Motor has about 65 hours on it with warranty through 2015, boat less than 20 hours in water. Powered by 40 hp Yamaha Outboard. Boat will be here longer than any of us. I spent more on the boat than I thought I would so I am selling to pay of the bills. Motor was bought new in May 2010 for another boat.

These are the outboard motors that sell in the greatest of numbers and are often the first outboard many of us, buy. So let us compare the outboards that are on offer for those looking for an outboard motor for their dinghy. They again came to dominate the outboard engine market up to at least 20 hp. The American manufacturers instead of competing with the Japanese, gave up and decided to buy these engines from the Japanese and badge them as their own. The Japanese seized on this fact and gradually Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki and Tohatsu concentrating on small outboards began to take over as market leaders. If we then take the following outboard motors :. Mercury 2. 75 knots, the best outboards were the Yamaha 2. 30 years ago American manufacturers dominated the outboard motor market. This being the case many of us stick to the same brand (brand loyalty) as we buy other bigger outboards over the years. Then the weight of each outboard motor was compared. This is due to an E. U. Directive that prevents 2 strokes from being sold in the E. U. These outboards will provide a fairly wide range of engines available on the market, for powering dinghies. The price of each outboard motor was then compared. Remember 2 stroke outboards are still available second hand. Having achieved success in the small outboard market, these Japanese manufacturers expanded up the power range. Although the Parsun was the cheapest and it is virtually identical the same engine as in the Yamaha 2. As well as adding features to these small outboards previously only found on larger engines.
