EK Success scallop punch
Hi there, This product is fantastic. I have been a card maker for many years, due to the popularity of people using punches, i thought i would give it a try. Believe me i couldn't be happier. These EK punches are great, they look and feel solid and have a decent weight to them. The quality of the cut is crisp and neat every time, I felt fine with my die cutting machine shapes, (which i regularly had to neaten up due to rough edges) This punch never fails me. I would recommend them to any card crafter, It gives your work a professional finish, and is brilliant for layering to make tags. Ideal for light to medium weight card stock. They can also be sharpened easily by cutting foil with them.

Works perfectly!
I was skeptical about purchasing this because several reviewers had problems with their punch not making a clean cut. I'm glad I went ahead and got this one (2-in scallop circle) because it works great! I've already used it to cut approximately 100 circles and haven't had any trouble at all.

Not big enough for 2" stickers to nest inside it
Punch works great! Even thru light cardstock. However, I bought it to make cupcake "labels" for my son's 1st bday and nest 2" stickers inside it. It's not big enough. The very largest diameter is likely 2.25 inches but in order to nest a round sticker inside it without covering part of the scallop you'd need at least a 2.5" punch instead.

This is an amazing book
I read A LOT of non-fiction and, in my spare time, I like to cook and try out new recipes. This book is amazing for me because it combines a detailed, entralling history of scallops in New England, along with an incredible range of recipes from appetizers, salads, baked, broiled, grilled, fried, sautéed, stir-fry, and poached tempura scallops (to name just a few). I hope Elaine and Karin Tammi will tackle other seafood topics in the years to come. To call it a "cookbook" is to sell it short. It really is so much more.

No ordinary cookbook!!
What a beautiful cookbook. Unlike any I have ever seen and I have dozens of cookbooks on my shelf. A history of the not so lowly scallop with vivid colored photographs. Not just a how to cook them but a fascinating voyage into the fishing industry with sideline interviews from the fishing fleet, chefs and others closely associated with the seafood industry. As you can see, the scallops I used were big, beautiful sea scallops. 24 large sea scallops 12 slices bacon, halved (24 6-inch pieces) 2 tablespoons olive oil pinch chili powder (or to taste) pinch garlic powder Instructions. Skewer with a toothpick or place 4 wrapped scallops onto a skewer. Place a few succulent sea scallops on a skewer with a fatty piece of smoked bacon. I’ve had the scallops, gorgeous shrimp, crab claws, shark, barramundi…pretty much anything underwater, they offer it, and they offer the best. Of course, bacon has never met a scallop it couldn’t make better. When all scallops are wrapped and on rimmed baking sheet, brush with the seasoned olive oil. Incredibly easy to throw together, bacon wrapped scallops can be prepared and cooked in less than 20 minutes. Not much you need to do to a scallop to make it amazing, as long as you are starting with great quality product. Too many cute boys with all that padding get me riled up. Just make the scallops. I think I’d rather talk about scallops. Rinse and pat dry each scallop. Place under broiler for 7 minutes, flip, and bake another 7 minutes. Customer service these days isn’t what it used to be, but Anderson takes care of it’s customers. Not having a plate is good too – no one can really tell how many you have eaten, and therefore, not as many calories count. I’ve mentioned it before, bit I am a HUGE fan of Anderson Seafood s. I personally do not ever notice a coconut flavor but it lends a yummy, delicate, flavor and smell when you cook with it. You do not have to buy it from Tropical Traditions but if you do buy it off the shelf, try to buy virgin coconut oil or... Place each seasoned and wrapped scallop on the foil lined baking sheet, making sure to leave space in between the scallops so that they cook evenly. Take each scallop and sprinkle lightly with the Italian seasoning and wrap a piece of prosciutto around the outside of the scallop like this:. Coconut oil typically does not have a super strong coconut flavor, especially when you cook it with savory foods. Cut the prosciutto in half lengthwise so you have enough strips of prosciutto for each scallop. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, turning the scallops over when there is 5 minutes left in the cooking time.

I was happy to find out that you have a art degree background too and somehow that made me feel like I can put out my creative energy in cooking too. Being unemployed artist I find comfort in making good food and stuffing my face from time to time. I graduated with a Photography degree and for a while I’ve been trying to figure what to do all summer long, until I slowly stumbled over several food blogs, one of them being yours, and realizing that I haven’t really had a chance to indulge in... So why would I make scallops for dinner even though I don’t really love them. Sometimes through the act of compromise, you find things you really like.
