A Basic Cable at a Good Price
This is the HDMI cable to get right now: an HDMI 1.4 cable at a good price.HDMI 1.4HDMI 1.4 is the latest standard (as of November 2010 at least). It is backward compatible with other HDMI gear (mine all are HDMI 1.3 compliant). And it will be more useful to you if your TV supports HDMI 1.4 networking. I was not able to test the Ethernet networking capability of this cable, but I think the idea behind it is a good one.For my current home entertainment setup, I had to set up separate Internet connections on my TV, set top box, Blu-Ray player, and WD TV LIVE (HTPC). It would have been a lot easier if I could have just set up my TV's internet connection, and allow all of my components to share it. That's what HDMI 1.4 promises to let you do--as long as all of your hardware, including the cables, supports it. This cable will support that functionality; it's more "future-proof" than the HDMI 1.3 cables I have been using.Learn more (and see...

Equal to Cables at 5X the Price
This is an excellent HDMI cable. I was skeptical seeing Amazon come out with their own cables, but these are very good quality. I would equate them to the higher end Belkin Pure AV line, which you can sometimes find at the best prices. These cables are even less than that! And the packaging is nice ... no fussing with scissors and that super-sealed plastic that cables usually come in - just pop 'em out and hook 'em up! Great!

A bit difficult to maneuver
I hooked this braided HDMI cable between my HDTV and my computer to stream video from the internet to my HDTV. The picture is clear and the sound quality is very good. I don't see any difference while using this cable from computer to HDTV than I do when watching TV directly from my satellite box. The only problem I have with this cable is that it is very thick due to the braiding, which makes it hard to turn. I need to plug it into one side of my HDTV, loop it around the back of the TV and bring it out on the other side where I place my computer out of tripping range. The thickness of the cable makes it hard to loop around and it's heavier than the other cables I have. This cable would probably be best for professional use where there might be heavy usage and plugging and unplugging of the cord. It will probably stand the test of time and constant movement easier than the regular smooth vinyl cables. But, for normal home use, the vinyl cables are easier to handle...

Product Description

This eBook includes 288 addition flash cards in color (where color is available). Each flash card is decorated with shuttle, astronaut, and satellite photos just like the flash cards depicted on the thumbnail image for the cover of this eBook.

The first set of 144 flash cards has the problems 1+1 thru 12+12 in order. The first half of this eBook is designed for kids who are still memorizing their addition tables.

The second set of 144 flash cards has the problems 1+1 thru 12+12 shuffled. The second half of this eBook is designed for kids who have tried to memorize their addition tables, and who need to test their mastery of it.

Each flash card appears as its own picture on its own page. All of the flash cards come in pairs: First comes the problem flash card, followed by the corresponding answer flash card. So first you see the problem, and then you check your answer immediately.

The answer flash cards have a word or two on them to briefly describe the photo in addition to the answers.

This eBook reads like a book. It is not a program or a game. It does not use a random number generator. The flash cards do look like ordinary flashcards (and they are in color and are decorated with shuttle, astronaut, and satellite photos). The first half of this eBook has the flash cards in order to help memorize the addition tables. The second half are shuffled to help test how well the addition tables have been memorized. The shuffled cards will always appear in the same order. Top to learn more

Lots of +'s a few -'s
So far I have been impressed with most aspects of the Satellite. It preforms as I expected. I found set up to be complicated however. Should not have been and I'm not sure why it was. Followed instructions to a tee, with a Mac there is a .dmg file included so there is no need to format drive but it would only read and not let me write to the drive. After tinkering for an hour I downloaded the Mac file from the website and got it working. I also downloaded the Mac sync file and begin to load a few movies. I found it much easier to just drag and drop files to the Satellite rather than using the sync software. When using the sync software it would reload the same files each time I synced so I ended up with several copies of the same movies. Anyway after playing around I was able get it set up. I bought the optional Firewire connection as my older Macbook Pro doesn't have USB 3.0. port and this helps speed up moving files. You must use the seagate firewire or USB cable as they are...

Till I'd an opportunity to get thinking about the topic, I'd always thought that satellite pictures were photos taken by satellites or from satellites. Theoretically they weren't satellite photos, a number of them been on fact been obtained from high above and was similar to real satellite pictures. Most nations with satellites use their eye on the horizon to consider satellite photos of enemy systems, topography information and weather surroundings to ensure that they might better plan their hit or security strategy. Well, within the precedent couple of days, I have had the delight of seeing real existence satellite photos, not once, but dual occasions. An extensive selection of information by means of photos continues to be circulating to earth because the launch from the first satellite.

The image at the head of this post was generated using it.  When I made that image, I literally had to connect the audio out of one computer to the audio in of another. Once you’ve attached the receiver hardware to your computer, you need some software to use it.  This is an image I took of a very well written SDR program on the Mac called DSP Radio.  Traditionally, you would have to build or buy a specially-built satellite receiver.  On the left side of the spectrum window, there is the live radio spectrum coming from the satellite. ”  Using another copy of the radio signal, and a sampling clock in quadrature, we can cancel out some noise and interfering signals.  While that is an awful analogy, but the idea is that we can sample the radio signal at (nearly) the same frequency as the carrier of our desired signal. This isn’t an image of my SoftRock, it’s a slightly different version, but I don’t have an image handy.  This makes them unable to properly receive satellite weather images. The DSP Radio program takes the signals from the Softrock through the audio input of the computer.  It can accept data in the form of wav files, provided that they’re linear PCM sampled at 11,025 Hz with at least 16 bit samples.  It starts before the satellite pass and ends after, so if begins and ends with static.  With SDR, I can move a slider to scale the bandwidth way, way up.  In this case, I’m using about 37 kHz of bandwidth.  Maybe you can notice the shadow of the satellite data on the right.  It has to decode the audio in real time for this to work, which means that I can’t use an audio file.
