Great starter!
This is a great starter set to have or even to use regularly. If you don't paint big models this will last. I paint gundam model kits and so far have done 3 models full painted and have lots of paint left over. The thinner comes in the same size bottle as others but is enough for like i said if you don't do big stuff. the paint brush is basic so i would use it as primary.

Paints
testors always has god paints. there pretty basic colors if you ask me. there good for model planes, cars tanks and belive it or not there good for making custom lego minifigures. it's good for people who are just starting to use model paints. the thinner can be useful at times to. i just wish the bottles were bigger. you can used a dried out thin tipped sharpie for smaller details to. have fun.

good model for starters
This model is pretty simple and comes with good instructions, so although it was my first, I finished putting it together in only one afternoon. The thing to remember is that the pieces are molded from thin green plastic, so if you want the model to look good and fit nicely you need to buy good modeling cement and paint. The paint colors needed for this model are not listed, so here they are: flat black aluminum tan light brown yellow red (for nose of plane- if painted like the "Flying Tigers") olive drab gray (if painted the like the US army) light blue (if painted like the "Flying Tigers" or British army) ***it would have helped me a lot to know the paint colors in advance, I didn't have the red for the nose of the plane, so I had to use nail polish for the job instead***

Another Great Model from Revell
Customer Video Review Length:: 1:28 MinsThis is another great model from Revell. The kit comes with a easy to read but very detailed instruction sheet that includes photographs of the real plane for reference as well as suggested readings. The kit itself is very straightforward to build. The details are very good and you have optional materials to put on the plane such as external fuel tanks and machine guns. It took me a few evenings to build it. I recommend this kit to everyone.

About what you would expect from a Revell model
Good model. Works well for a 10-12 year old. It's not too difficult to put together and gives them several hours of fun, plus 15 minutes if you count their throwing rocks at the finished model.

GREAT DISPENSER OF MODEL CEMENT
Great product !!! A much better choice than the glue tubes of years past. It effectively delivers the right amount of glue to the right area of the plastic model part in a controlled fashion. My eleven-year-old son instantly mastered the process of using this glue dispenser to build several model boats, tanks, and planes. There is no inherent educational value to this product unless you consider that someone came up with a better alternative to glue in a tube. The glue dispenser is very durable and continues to dispense glue one-year after purchase (12 models). In other words, the glue remains a viable product for use with a minimum of product manipulation (i.e., just put the supplied cap back on the dispenser). Overall, this is a great product. I wish I had had this product when I was a kid building plastic models.

Good glue!
The glue works well and holds plastic modeling parts together almost immediately. I would advise buyers that they might need to cut off more of the tip than the package instructs in order for the glue to start flowing, and that by doing so the tip may not be as precise as the user might like.

Awesome
This model is in progress and a good deal of fun to build. I'm very impressed with the detail in it's componants and I've taught myself a few things along the way. Paint as much and as many pieces as you can before snapping them out of the form. I'm going to buy some alligator clips to mount on small wooden dowels - then stick the dowels into styrofoam for holding pieces that need additional touch up afterward. Gluing sub-assemblies together, before painting the sum of their parts, would have saved me some time and made gluing easier (You don't want to apply glue to painted surfaces). Oh and go easy on that glue, use just enough to "wet" mating surfaces, I use pointed tootpicks with good results. On the larger body pieces I plan to buy spray paint because it'll look much better than paint that's been brushed on. All in all, I feel that this purchase was a bargain for the entertainment value alone. Plus, if you take your time, you'll wind up with a really nice bookshelf item to...
