Fun and Educational!
Affordable, fun science experiment that I had a great time doing again as an adult. The process /is/ tedious, and takes a lot of patience, but it's worth it. It's harder than you'd think to be able to put together a whole creature, but the amount and quality of other small bones was good. Many were highly fragile, but still the right size and durability for art projects, accessory decorating, and other activities.I'm bleaching my bones in hydrogen peroxide, but the worn grey look is really neat too!

Neat little kit...
however, it didn't come with the magnifying glass as it was supposed to, but that wasn't why I bought this kit.My daughter did an owl pellet in a science center class I'd enrolled her in years ago. She didn't remember the class well and wanted to dissect another owl pellet.I found this kit - it came with 3 pellets (all sterilized) 2 probes, a small pamphlet/booklet about owls and what they eat and a chart of skeletons of their favored food. The chart was hard to read - tiny and very thin, faint lines. We were grateful to be able to get owl pellets again, but if you're relying on this to be an entire lesson, this wouldn't be for you unless you're willing to dig around on line and supplement this kit with a better bone chart, and whatever information on the animals you wish to add.For us, this served it's purpose because we've covered this already and we did a little extra research on line to add to this kit - It made for a nice refresher.
