Excellent
FHI Professional Platform Flatiron 1". This is the absolute BEST. I have exceptionally frizzy hair and always have. Since the advent of flatirons, I have bought a gazillion and they just didn't "get it". But, I heard from my stylist about this one and took her advice and now again I understand ALWAYS ASK THE PRO and this is the professional unit. It goes past 400 degrees which is one of the differences, and it straightens or flips or curls. It is fantastic even on a muggy, moisture-ridden Tennessee day. Try it you will love it as well. If it can make my hair straight it can do anything.

Wonderful!
I recently purchased this flat iron and I can honestly say it was one of the best purchases I have made in a long, long time. I have very, very thick wavy hair. I cannot go to a new salon without being told that I "have the thickest hair they've ever seen on a white girl". I was between this and a CHI, but after using a CHI I decided that I honestly didn't like what it did to my hair. The CHI was effective, but left my hair feeling dry and took away some of the sheen. So I went with the FHI Platform. Prior to using this I used a$35 flat iron from Target. It worked, but it took approximately twenty five minutes to completely straighten my dry hair, plus another 10 minutes in touch ups the next morning since my hair refused to stay straight. I have used the FHI several times and despite the current humidity and rain within the past week, my hair stayed straight, flat, shiny and without frizz. GREAT IRON!!!
I have been researching flat irons for about six months...going on different websites looking at people reviews and checking out the latest technology in flat ironS and let me tell this is the best for the money. The best imo would have to be the fhi runway but that runs at $400 so that was a HELL NO! lol...I was going to choose either this or the sedu and i am glad i choose this. It usually runs for about $180 elsewhere so this is a deal.However I have one draw back of this iron and that is burns the scalp if u get too close but other than that it is great...GET IT!I have AA relaxed bra-strap hair and this makes it silky, shinny and straight with one pass...i usually wash and air dry, when i am finish my hair is wavy and on the thick side. I flat iron in small sections and i use a heat protectant. Worth the money
I've wanted to get a hair straightener for some time, but was reluctant to spend a lot of money. I had my hair cut recently and the stylist was using this FHI straightener. She highly recommended it.I opted for the cheaper item by hot tools. It was worthless. I returned it two days later for this model. I am so happy I did it! It looks like I just left the salon. It takes me less than ten minutes to do my hair, and it makes it look so smooth and shiny. Don't even waste your time and money this is the one you should get.

FHI Ionic Ceramic Styling Iron 1"
I just purchased this iron after growing out my hair for the last six months. My hair is thick and quite coarse and it still works great. Having tried several less expensive flat irons, I was unprepared the great job that this iron would do. It's great! I suggest that everyone who wants a great flat iron, get this one. Best Flat Irons I've Ever Used!!!
This was my first time investing in more expensive flat irons. I used to use the Golden Hot line, but the irons (they were ceramic "plated")were no match for these. I did some research and read tons of reviews (from various web sites), and I must say that this product lives up to the hype. I was satisfied with how the transaction was handled as well. I received the product in a very timely fashion and it was worth every penny. I will be ordering from this vendor again. I would like to order another FHI iron, but a larger model.

fhi elite professional series
flat iron works well, heats quickly ad functions perfectly, does make the lights flicker when it gets up to temp, no other one has done that. must be larger heater or something. Would recommend over the Solia it replaced

Great, but short life span
I have purchased two of the FHI Eps irons this year. I am a hairstylist, and use my iron constantly. Although this iron is one of the best, both that I purchased only lasted my a couple of months before they burt out!! Definitely one of the best irons out there, but I have to constantly replace it.

Excellent Product!!
I have never been more satisfied with a ceramic iron. I began transitioning from a relaxer to natural hair over a year ago and this is the ceramic iron that my hair stylist's uses. This ceramic iron provides my hair with softness, body and a silky shine. I highly recommend it to anyone, but especially to women who currently have relaxers, but would like to go natural.

This flat iron is excellent!
I have very wavy, thick hair. I had bought a flat iron at a drug store but it never worked well for my hair. It took a long time to straighten and the results only lasted a few hours. Then I bought the FHI 1" Platform flat iron and couldn't believe what a difference from my other cheap flat iron. My hair is now silky, soft and stays straight until I wash it again, and it stays nice even in humid weather. I also use Chi Silk Infusion which I put on my hair before I flat iron. You can use any kind of product, but I do recommend a product made for use with a flat iron. I am very pleased with this flat iron and recommend it highly.

good for the price
This flat iron is a good quality product, especially for the Amazon price, which is much less than FHI's website. I liked how it is comfortable to hold (compared to the Hana elite iron I tried before) and the wider plates work well since I have extremely thick, long curly hair. I had an FHI iron that I purchased in 2004 that was kind of noisy -it would creak when I pressed the plates together- but they seem to have solved this problem with the new platform series. One thing that confused me is how the instruction book says it works best on damp, towel-dried hair, but I did not find this claim to be true. If my hair wasn't completely dry, it just took longer to straighten, having to go over each section many more times. I even tried it on my niece who had very fine, thin hair, and it didn't work well on her hair when wet either. UNBELIEVABLE! My hair is transformed. And the smell is nice, too
If you could only see my hair. If you could feel it. If you had seen my hair without Hot Sauce.Okay, the low-down: I have very curly (think ethnic, curly, dry, coarse hair) long hair (past shoulders, but not uberlong). My thyroid disease makes it like STRAW in places, nasty and frizzy and rough.I've used some good products to try and give me silky control--Pantene anti-frizz is okay. BioSilk is lovely. Words Cannot Describe- But I'll Try a Step-by-step
Wow! So I bought this in addition to my FHI flat-iron just to try it out. It is amazing. I am African-American with tightly-curled natural hair that I usually wear straight. I didn't use a small amount for my entire head, rather, I use teeny tiny amounts for each section that I flat ironed. I literally squeeze some Hot Sauce on the edge of my bathroom sink, lightly touch my index finger to it, rub my index and my thumb together and rub it up and down the section that I'm about to flat iron. Then I let it sit for a 60 sections and then flat iron that section.A lot less time consuming than it sounds and the results last forever, even in the face of humidity.

Natural formula, great smell, better than CHI!
I bought this with my FHI pro 2000 dryer. At the same time, I bought a 2oz. bottle of CHI silk infusion to comparison test. First of all, I love that FHI's formula is based off of natural ingredients like jojoba, whereas CHI's first ingredient is a silicone. I'm not a die-hard advocate of natural products, but if they perform similarly, I definitely prefer the natural version. So one point for FHI hot sauce.Next, the consistency of FHI's is like a hand lotion. It's very lightweight, which is good if you're afraid of appearing greasy. It's hard to overuse FHI, whereas with CHI silk infusion you have to be extremely careful the amount you use. But I felt with CHI's oil-like consistency, it was easier to spread all over my hair. So one point for CHI.Now the most important aspect, the results. Both FHI and CHI made my hair noticeably silkier, protected my hair well from the flat iron, but didn't seem to make my hair much shinier. At least, there was no gloss...

Amazing, Love it
i recently purchased this dryer, and its the best dryer to straighten my coarse relaxed hair. It made my hair smooth, with shine, no fizz, it didn't have the fried look to it, it left my hair moisturized. it made it absolutely straight that i didn't even have to use my solia flat iron, which is the best flat iron EVER, i had to add (I LOVE MY FLAT IRON). it only took me about 5 minutes to dry the hair. I purchased this because my stylist uses it, and i love the final results. it's worth buying. if you are tired of wasting your money on dryers, this is your final stop, buy it, seriously. it is worth the money. i absolutely love the look and feel of my hair.

Strongly Recommend
This dryer definitely lives up to its claims. As an African American who has natural hair, I was looking for a product that would not dry-out my hair. The technology of this dryer not only dries my hair quickly, but also leaves it hydrated with lots of moisture. I use this for my daughter's hair as well, who has thick, coarse hair.
