Got this for my classroom after seeing it used with an ipad. Setup is very easy and resolution was as good or better than the ELMO document readers used at school. Great product
I am a teacher in Gainesville Florida. For the price this product is fantastic. It has great quality, portability and the ability to position several directions is an awesome feature. It also takes pictures too, another cool feature. You can autofocus with the touch of a button or can continually auto focus with the flip of a switch Who needs an elmo or anything like that. Great Product for the Price
As webmaster and an active tech teacher, I am sometimes asked to review products for my readers. Good alternative for teachers on a budget
Yesterday morning my partner-teachers and I all gathered around my computer and watched the little video clip in the product description. We were excited so I decided to do some more research. There were very few reviews anywhere on the internet but I saw an example video of it on Youtube under it's other name "Easi-View" and was impressed with the clear capture of the moving image. I was the brave one who decided to purchase it; splurging for overnight shipping of course (we teachers are an impatient bunch). The price was a nice middle ground compared to other document cameras in this class so I expected a decent quality product.The good: It works great with direct overhead lighting. The image easily compares to the high end document projectors I am used to using. I set the preview resolution to mjpg 2048x1536 so it fills the screen on my widescreen laptop. Great for the price
I bought this to use in my class. I searched and searched, and this was the best deal I found. It was really hard to find reviews on any of the document cameras under $400, but I found good ones for this one on the seller's feedback page.It's easy to set up, just plug it into your computer and it installs quickly. The program it uses is really easy to figure out, just takes clicking on everything to see what it can do. The camera can be used as a document viewer if you have a projector, it also takes video,and scans anything. Once you scan documents you can crop it and select all the pages and it will put them into a pdf. The image quality is really great and you can zoom in and out. If you're writing on paper below it you will see it has a very slight delay, but I don't see that ever being a problem. You can also adjust the brightness, contrast and saturation. It feels pretty sturdy as well.

First Time Hovercam User
This product is great. It worked with no problems right out of the box. The picture quality is amazing and the fact that I can create videos with the built in mic, I can actually save those for the students that may have missed class or need some notes that we went over together. The hovercam is small enough to fit in my rolling laptop bag. The software was easy to install. The software was also easy to navigate and use. I like the fact that when you registered it online you get an extra year free of technical support. The LED provides sufficient lighting when working in not so bright areas. The price of the hovercam is so affordable and all in all this is why I like it. Hovercam you rock! I am a hovercam fan. Thanks.

Great Opaque Projector
The Elmo TT-02RX is great for displaying most material for classes and demonstrations. Elmo now has a newer model that provides better color fidelity, so if you are showing opaque objects where true color is important, e.g. art work, then you should look into the more expensive model. The controls are easy to use, including the auto focus: it really is automatic and it really does focus! My Elmo TT-02RX has been a life saver for doing many a demo.

A satisfied customer
I used some older made of document camera from Avermedia before, and I have been quite happy with the ease of use of the product; the controls are intuitive and equipment build is solid. I was looking for one with autofocus to save the trouble of keep making adjustment. I bought this autofocus version from Avermedia a few months ago and found it working well so far; the focusing is surely quick enough for normal viewing purpose. The resolution is good enough for me to use the camera on books with 9-10pt fonts.

great teaching tool
I use this in my classroom every day. It's perfect for teaching my high-schoolers to annotate their reading and edit their writing. It's also great for going over and pointing out things in textbooks, novels, and handouts. Gone are the clumsy days of scanning and projecting or even messing with the interactive white board. I can't say enough about it as a teaching tool, especially with large classes. Maybe the feel that they're watching a movie helps, but kids seem to pay attention more when I use the document camera, and of course it makes it much easier for them to follow along with whatever is being presented. This particular brand is superior to the others I've used because of the easy auto-focus and the guide lights that beam onto the corners of the projected area. The camera/capture option is useful, too, once you get used to using it.
