Fits and performs perfectly
If you have shopped around for Dell laptop batteries, you know that this one is WAY cheaper than the one that Dell sells directly. My original Dell battery only lasted 2 years so why would I go to Dell and pay $150 for a replacement when I could get a no-frills brand battery for only $28 including shipping? Even if this no-frills battery only lasts me 6 months, I am still way ahead of the game. OK, I will come down from my soapbox and tell you that this $28 battery fit perfectly into our Dell laptop, and performs well. After a full charge, it runs the laptop for many hours before needing a recharge. Even at $100, this would be a great deal. At $28, this is a no-brainer. I recommend this battery for anyone who needs a replacement or spare battery for thier Dell laptop.

let me start out by saying that I was quite skeptical of buying a battery online for half the price that Dell offers them at, but being the extremely broke college student that I am, I really didn't have much of a choice. Let me tell you that so far, this product is great. (its only been a few days, but all seems well) Fits perfectly into my inspiron 1525, and holds a charge for over 3 hrs while surfing the internet and through constant use. I would suggest this product to anyone and am extremely satisfied. great product, and it arrived at my door within 4 days. No surprises
Perfect replacement. Just a couple of clicks and I was up and running. I've had it for quite a few months now and it seems like its holding charge very well still.14 months after purchase:Battery is done for! Only holds charge for about 15 minutes. It did last me just about as long as one of Dell's batteries though. If you're looking for a fix, this product will definitely do it. Just try to use your charger when you can and i'm sure thats easier on the battery. All in all, I think buying a cheap replacement like this is worth saving money on dell's prices.

For those that are confused about the physical size of the replacement battery, this is an extended size battery. There is the standard size that is flush with your laptop when inserted and there are the extended sizes that protrude out approximately one inch from the back of your laptop. You will find this same protrusion on any extended size battery you purchase directly from Dell; it will stick out the back a little and that is normal. The standard size is a six cell battery and will give you a shorter run time on a charge. This is a nine cell battery; this is how they get more run time out of the battery... it's bigger ;Considering the same size battery from Dell for an Inspiron 1525 costs $179; I would say paying $39 is a bargain (price I paid at time of purchase). Be sure to get the "RoHs" battery featured here. I purchased a 9 cell battery from another seller at about the same time as this 9 cell battery. This one holds a 3 hour 40 minute (plus time to spare) charge (I tested with media player playing the first half the time and a backup running the second half - no idle time) and the other barely gets past 2 hours. HUGE difference. Also the other battery gets warm - not this one. Nice! I highly recommend this product.As for the seller, the shipping time was fast and the price is decent, esp for what you're getting (it's like two thirds cheaper than buying direct from Dell if I'm not mistaken).One one of the best buys I've made over the past 12 months. initial review - better than expected
I bought this battery to replace my m911g battery for my dell inspiron 1525. I was a little scared that it would not work since there was a report or two stating it was not compatable with the m911g battery. I took a leap of faith and bought it, the free amazon prime 2 day shipping had it in my hands the next day, and if it did not work I knew amazon would make returning the battery super easy. So I put the battery in the laptop plugged it in over night as per the instructions and booted it up this morning. Decent preformance out of the 9 cell battery, about 3 hours on normal usage so far. Per the instructions I ran the battery all the way down from the first charge and recharged it. Its now running only on battery after the second charge and it has been going for about an hour and a half now and still has 70% left. Good and Bad Experience
I own a Dell E1505 laptop computer. The original battery did not last very long and since I have been using my laptop as a portable 'desktop' computer. Recently I decided to purchase a new batter as my travel frequency has gone up. I normally purchase items from Amazon with good to excellent feedback. So I was comparing the 9-cell battery by Tavas with the one by New Trent and I ended up purchased the one from Tavas as it had a better rating (7200mAh vs 6600mAh) and is slightly cheaper because I had to pay tax if I ordered the one by New Trent.The battery arrived and immediately I put the battery to test. Boom it was not working. The computer BIOS complained that it does not recognize the battery. But when I booted into Windows I can see the battery meter displayed about 52% charge and I can read the battery ID (don't remember the exact ID No.) and such but apparently the battery is not charging. Good Battery, Better Price
Received this battery a couple days ago and have been impressed since. My old battery for my Dell I6400 would last about 40 minutes before it would so graciously turn off with no warning. I saw this as the sign to get a new battery. I was pleasantly surprised to find this New Trent battery for under $40 on Amazon. My first replacement battery for this Dell cost over $100 and didn't even last 1 year before the above mentioned symptoms.My Dell computer recognized this battery without a problem and I am getting between 3 and 4 hours of battery life now. I would definitely recommend this product after only having it for a few days now.

With the original battery in my Dell Inspiron 1501 worn out -- only about 10 minutes of runtime before it would require recharge, and with the computer giving me constant messages that the battery needs to be replaced, I went to Dell to buy a replacement. I was shocked to find that a new Dell battery would cost nearly $150! While uncertain about buying an "aftermarket" battery, I researched quite a bit, looking at various batteries, and after reading a number of excellent reviews for New Trent products, I decided to purchase one.
