Love it
I bought this for my babies room, and it looks great. Came 2 weeks later then it was suppose to because it was back ordered, nothing I or the supplier could do about that, but they did e-mail me to tell me. Came wrapped in two boxes and only the outer one was slightly damage (that would be FEDEX's fault not the supplier) It was really heavy my order said 70 pounds but really 143 pounds. My husband and I put it together in a few hours. One person could do it but because of the weight I suggest two from time to time. No damage to the wood (besides the scuffs my husband put on it putting it together) Came with all the parts and the directions are pretty easy to understand (mostly pictures but some words). It is really strudy and it seems parts of it are real cherry wood and some are not. Has a new furinture smell to it from the cherry varnish, but I aired it out and it has gone away.

Great affordable armoire does its purpose
I had to give up my only closet (which was pretty small and basic) for our soon-to-be here son and needed somewhere to put my dress work clothes and a few pair of shoes. While nervous about having such a large item shipped to me, it was delivered with only a only long scratch along the side corner of one of the panels which ended up along the back so it doesn't show and doesn't affect my liking of the product. My fiance took a few hours to put this together by himself. The instructions were pretty simple - even straightening the doors out wasn't a problem for the both of us to do. I thought the amount of clothes I ended up putting inside might be too heavy but the armoire is very sturdy. As for the drawer, it is a nice sized sturdy drawer that now holds the stuff that was in my closet up on the shelf - a few bulky photo albums and some shoe boxes. Great Medium Size Armoire
I bought this armoire for my son. The shipping box and some items arrived damaged. My son called the company, and they sent the replacement parts (just some trim) without charge and quickly. The unit is well built. Looks more expensive than it is. It is a medium size unit being used for towels for the bathroom and placed in the hallway. It is a great deal for the money.

Fit the need nicely

Good looking Armoire
This armoire was a little challenging to assemble because the directions are weird. All parts are referred to by number and you have to flip back to the second page to identify the part. The actual assembly is fairly easy but the instructions are not very clear or helpful.I added a bead of wood glue to the drawer seams to help keep them from falling apart and used staples instead of nails when attaching the rear cardboard panel. Staples fasten just as good or better and are easier to use than a hammer and tiny nails.One good thing about this South Shore Furniture Company is that they provide an 800 Phone help-line if you need help or replacement parts. They also offer a 5-year limited guarantee.I like the look of this armoire but not the quality. The drawers pull really hard and fiberboard is not very nice.I give it 4 stars because there are both pros and cons but overall I like it.

Five Stars with a Bullet!
Even if you have no use for one, buy it anyway for the sheer and rare joy of getting your money's worth. Brilliant packaging, flawless when unpacked. Surprisingly extensive use of solid wood. Bonus: top is flat and flush, suitable for display items.One note of caution: this thing is every bit of 250 lbs as delivered and its size makes it unwieldy. I'm fortunate that at almost 60 years old I have no regard for my future ability to walk upright. Unless you're similarly situated you'd best inquire about white glove delivery or have a couple of stout friends on tap.

Just the right size
I received the package sooner than stated, which is great. I knew it was going to be heavy, but it was so heavy that I had to open the box on the porch and bring the pieces in separately. It took me about 2 hours to assemble. The finish scratches very easily so be sure to lay a blanket or something down while assembling. The doors and drawer took a few tries to get them adjusted right. It was the perfect addition to my bedroom for extra storage space.

only moderate quality
I am overall somewhat disappointed with this product. When I was looking at it online I couldn't find a description of what kind of materials are used. I assumed that there would be some MDF with veneer, however when the item arrived I realized that it's ALL MDF with veneer. The backboard is nothing more than cardboard. I was hoping that at least the front panels would be real wood. Assembly is not very difficult for an experienced DIYer.I've purchased Sauder furniture products before and have been happy. Unfortunately this item is at the bottom of the materials pile. Honestly, you get what you pay for. I thought I had found a great deal with a Sauder product that looked good in photos --I should have known I was buying an MDF/veneer product. I wish they had the same item with more real wood, I would have been interested in purchasing that even for 50% higher price.

beautiful piece, sturdy, and for a great price!
We own about 20 pieces of RTA furniture. It's just about all our budget can afford, and it seems like many things are shipped this way today anyway. Of all our RTA furniture, South Shore has consistently surprised us with quality of craftsmanship, ease of assembly (compared to most), and lasting sturdiness.We have been gradually purchasing all the pieces for the Step One Endless Chocolate collection for a couple of years now. We own the dresser, 2 nightstands, headboard, and now the armoire. The armoire is by far my favorite piece, and is extremely sturdy (we purchased a Sauder comparable armoire and were NOT impressed). It shows scratches easily, as all dark furniture does, but keep a black Sharpie handy for those times that it gets scuffed, and you'll not even be able to tell where the imperfections are!One thing I have to say about assembly of this product is that the hinges were extremely easy to "get right" as you will know is very important with the...

Quality, affordable piece of furniture
I bought this armoire to use for storing kids art supplies, my craft supplies and assorted homeschool items. The assembly took a reasonable amount of time. The finished product looks really very nice. I don't think it "looks" too much like an "assemble it yourself" storage unit. The amount of usable space for storage is ample and the adjustable shelves make it very versatile. The finish is a lovely, deep espresso color. The sleek, matte-finish hardware handles add some sophistication to the appearance. Overall, I think this is a quality product for a very reasonable price.

Nice and inexpensive but scratched throughout
The armoire is nice looking but the instructions were a but unclear and almost every piece had a scratch on it. It takes 2 people to assemble the piece. The pieces were not packaged properly. After assembling the armoire, I do like the look of it but am unhappy about all the scratches. No touch up paint was included. Nice looking but would not order again.

Cute cute cute!
LOve this once put together. One warning, make sure you read the dimensions before buying, its shorter than you would think looking at the pictures-about 5 ft tall. Many parts and pieces, takes a few hours to get together, instructions are easy though. The drawer knobs dont twist on all the way but I bought cuter pick crystal ones from target that i like way better anyway. Overall I recommend for a low cost piece of baby furniture, sturdy once together.
